Music
Music is an important part of Cuban Culture. I think kids learn to sing and dance before they walk. The classroom is where they learn about Cuban music and how it has evolved. Here is one example of how your donated guitar will make a difference. The Ministry of Education will train an adult from a small town to teach guitar. If we can supply them with a guitar, it would benefit the whole school and in fact the whole community.
Guitars
The guitar is by far the best instrument. Any size, shape or style will be put to use. If you have a functioning guitar we will get it to Cuba safely. The challenge will be getting the guitar to us. Contact us and we will find a way.
Guitar Parts
The most important part of a guitar are the strings. A guitar doesn't work well without them. New or used, we will send everything we get. There are luthiers in Cuba who can make a guitar new again. Any parts that are in good condition will be sent and used to bring a guitar back to life.
Pianos
NO GRAND PIANOS PLEASE! There are hundreds, maybe thousand of eletric keyboards sitting idle. If they work, we want them.
Violins/Fiddles
Whether it's Country or Classical the music may differ but the instrument is the same.
Other
Almost any portable musical instument would be welcomed. If you are not sure, message us and we can let you know if it will work.
