Unique Kids with Unique Challenges
Objective
By far, this is the most important area for us. Life is already difficult for these kids. Add a global pandemic and the cruel US embargo and the mountains they climb keep getting higher. We will make a difference! These are a few of the areas we will work on.
The Blind
One of the most important things we need are braille machines. There is a severe shortage of the machines in Cuda. With technilogy changing I see that new machines are computers with braille printers. I have to assume that some older, manual machines should around. We will take anything that works.
On their list is simple things like dark sunglasses and white canes. We are also open to suggestions. Things that might help.
Autism
We are learning that this is a complicated condition. We have people in Cuba and Canada working on a list of items to watch for. If you have knowledge or suggestions, please let us know.
Music
I know we have an area dedicated to this topic, but I wanted to emphasize the importance of music in the development of all kids, especially those with unique challenges. Please go to our music section and find a way to help.
